Application

We welcome applications from children's and youth choirs from anywhere in the world - we really want this first international singing festival for young singers to be truly international!

Worcester and this part of England has so much to offer visiting choirs - you might want to extend your stay and perform in other parts of the United Kingdom.

Choirs will be able to offer their preference for their chosen atelier, although allocation will depend upon the number of singers that can be accommodated within each workshop. We hope that about 400 singers altogether will come to WIFYS.

In addition to attending the ateliers, choirs will be able to present their own concerts in the city and surrounding countryside, as well as sing at local church services and to the tourists and shoppers in the streets of Worcester. You can be guaranteed a very warm welcome!

Application Information

• Applications must be submitted to Sing UK by 15 December 2012
• It is anticipated that choirs will have between 30 to 45 singers and their accompanying staff

With your application, please include:

• a description of your choir and its activities
• a recent recording (CD, MP3 or DVD)
• a recent photo of the choir
• your first and second choice of ateliers (whilst every effort will be made to secure your first choice, this cannot be guaranteed)

Participation Fees

The participation fee includes full room and board, as well as participation in ateliers and the cost of scores. All travel costs to and from the Festival are to be paid by the participants. WIFYS will cover local travel costs during the Festival.
